Don't Pay More than You Have To

I happened to do some searching on A History of Us today, and noticed 3rd party sellers are over-charging for it. This happens quite frequently on Amazon, as people selling on Amazon hope to find someone not paying attention.

Please don't pay more than you have to. The retail price is 41.57. While I am a bit uncomfortable with this high price, it is the most you should pay at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Lulu, and other reputable sellers. If you see anyone charging any more, please feel free to continue looking around for a better price.

The copyright notice for this book is the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. One of the provisions of that license is that no profit is allowed from the sale of the book, nor can the material in it be used in another publication that is for sale. In short, no one can profit from my work in any way. This makes sales at an increased price a violation of the copyright. I have begun sending copyright infringement notices to online sellers who charge more than the publication cost.

Please purchase from Lulu.com (best), Barnes and Noble (better) or Amazon (not a reseller on Amazon), all three of which adhere to the copyright notice.

Electronic Versions of Wright-Briggs Have Been Released

All four books in the set of The Wright, Briggs, Sibert, and Stephens Families of Josiah McGehee Wright are now available in electronic versions. Now, since these were meant to be available to the family, I am not charging for any of the books in the set. If you still want the nicely printed versions to put up on the shelf, you'll still need to head over to lulu.com to purchase a set, but if you have a tablet or PC, and you just want the read, take your pick from the set. Announcement: Wright, Briggs... Books Moved to Lulu

I am happy to announce that I've moved all 4 volumes of The Wright, Briggs, Sibert, and Stephens Families of Josiah McGehee Wright to Lulu.com. This consolidates all of the works that I publish onto a single printer (and therefore one place to access any of those works). Now, the question is, "If I bought a set before, should I buy this new set?" In short, probably not. It does contain some corrections, but the biggest difference is the formatting. All of the content is largely the same.

A link to search Lulu for the set is HERE. (One of my other titles shows up in the search. This is an artifact of both books overlapping on the families they cover.) Links to individual titles have been updated on the blog's first post.

Errata for "A History of Us: The Hargrove, Wright, Dalton, and Stroud Families"

126-127: The last sentence should read, "However, in a later court deposition, Richard states..."

218: Dorothy Padgett was born in County Clare, Ireland, not Belfast.

346 (line 29): Reference should be 50, not 51.

347 (line 2): Reference should be 51, not 52.

389/428: Thomas Linn Dalton has been confirmed through a bible record as a child of Harry and Sallie Dalton.

391: "Lone Oak." is misspelled.
